- Obtain Your Legal Marriage License
- A legal marriage license must be obtained before the Nikah ceremony. The process varies by county.

 Collin County Marriage License Information - The marriage license must be submitted at least two weeks before the Nikah ceremony.
- Submit Required Documentation
The following documents must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the ceremony. Email: IAANikah@AllenMasjid.com
- Marriage Application (completed online above)
- Mutual agreement (Ijab-O-Qubul) by the bride and the groom
- Presence of two male Muslim witnesses for the groom and a guardian (wali) for the bride
- Official Marriage License (Collin County requires 72 hours wait period when requesting, above)
- Mahr (marriage-gift) to be paid by the groom to the bride either immediately (muajjal) or deferred (muakhkhar), or a combination of both
- If previously married, date and certificate of divorce(s)
- Photo ID of bride, groom, and witnesses

Additional Requirements:
- The bride and groom must both be Muslim.
- No Nikah ceremony will be conducted without the official marriage license and all required documents.

- Email the Payment Receipt
- Schedule Two (2) Required Meetings
Once all steps are completed, a Zoom/Google link will be sent to schedule the two required meetings by officiant.
 Meeting 1: Nikah Logistics & Marriage Agreement
- Attendees: Bride, Groom, and both Parents
- Duration: 30 minutes
- Purpose:
- Discuss the logistics of the Nikah ceremony.
- Review the marriage agreement language and terms.
- Address the Mahr, witness requirements, and any concerns.
 Meeting 2: Pre-Marital Guidance
- Attendees: Bride, Groom, and Imam
- Duration: 30 minutes
- Purpose:
- Provide pre-marital counseling and Islamic guidance.
- Discuss martial responsibilities and expectations.
